Mondo P. Khan is making music about an imaginary village called Ivy Dell. The idea is to discover something about the town, bit by bit, using music as a kind of archaeology. The tools are words, sounds, and pictures. On this blog, you can follow the project every step of the way and make whatever comments you’d like to.
The songs on this site are straight from the earth. They are recorded the first time they are played. Any special effects you think you hear may or may not be the product of your imagination.
Equipment used in the dig includes a Yamaha FG jr., microphones by Audio Technica, a Fostex MR-8 Mk II, and a vanilla PC running Windows XP.
